Biotechnologist (Manufacturing Department)

Job Description

  • Execute upstream cell cultivation or downstream protein purification processes according to established protocols and GMP requirements.
  • Operate and maintain bioreactors, chromatography systems, and related production equipment.
  • Prepare media, buffers, and other materials necessary for bioprocessing activities.
  • Monitor and control process parameters, ensuring consistency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Accurately document all work in batch records and logbooks in accordance with GMP standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Engineering) to support technology transfer and process optimization.
  • Assist in troubleshooting deviations and participating in root cause analyses.
  • Support process scale-up and validation activities in line with CDMO project timelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in bioprocessing operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and contribute to a clean, compliant working environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related life sciences field.
  • Practical experience in upstream cell cultivation and/or downstream protein purification processes.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency in English.
Salary range for this position: Junior Biotechnologist 1800 EUR to 2300 EUR gross (before taxes). Biotechnologist 2300 EUR  to 2800 EUR gross (before taxes).

Quality Control Analyst

Job Description

  • Work in the Quality Control Laboratory in the Process Control, Stability and Product Quality Control Testing Team
  • Analysis of manufacturing biotechnological products by Physico-chemical methods in accordance with approved standard operating procedures
  • Daily maintenance of laboratory equipment, documentation of actions performed
  • Method validation procedures
  • Preparation and updating of SOPs, method validation protocols and reports (in Lithuanian and English)

Requirements

  • Higher education (in chemistry, biochemistry, bio-engineering or related field)
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Diligence, responsibility, orderliness, attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, systematize and summarize information
  • Good knowledge of Lithuanian and English (verbal and written)

    Monthly salary (bruto) from € 1100. Specific salary is offered based on work experience, competence, and compliance with other job requirements.
